If it comes to pass that Eastmoreland becomes a national or some form of local historic district, there will probably be some process of design review. This process oversees approval of remodeling projects, alterations, modifications and other changes to historic neighborhood homes. (Will Eastmoreland become a sort of HOA? We may find out.)
Given the ENA's track record of secrecy and untrustworthy behavior, Eastmoreland neighbors have legitimate concerns at the possibility that the ENA would play a large part in the design review process.
The ENA was already preparing to monitor neighborhood activity when it purchased a drone in 2014 to view home development activity and find rule-breakers. Hopefully any new design review panel will not be subject to the control of the ENA.
Thankfully, the ENA backed down and put away the drone after the neighborhood raised concerns and shared their feelings about the surveillance.
